PM leaves for Nepal tomorrow to join BIMSTEC summit
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave for Nepal tomorrow morning to attend the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) summit on August 30 and 31.
The premier will lead a Bangladesh delegation at the 4th BIMSTEC summit themed "Towards a Peaceful, Prosperous and Sustainable Bay of Bengal Region."
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam said this at a press briefing at the foreign ministry in Dhaka this morning.
Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will inaugurate the summit.
Sheikh Hasina will deliver her speech flowing the inaugural speech of her Nepali counterpart.
Two agreements on support and development may be endorsed by the BIMSTEC member countries during the summit, the state minister said.
