‘Cops, judges must together ensure justice’

Police and judiciary must work together to ensure justice to the people, High Court judge Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed has said.

“Police and judiciary are integral part of the judiciary, they complement each other. Rule of law can’t be ensured by ignoring any one of the two,” he said.

“To ensure fair trial and justice through judicial system cooperation between police and judges is a must,” he said while addressing a discussion with senior judges and police officers in Rajshahi at Sarda Police Academy today.

He emphasised on establishing a respectable relationship between the police and the judiciary.

Sarda Police Academy Principal Nazibur Rahman NDC, Rajshahi District and Sessions Judge Mir Shafiqul Alam, and Rajshahi Metropolitan Sessions Judge OHM Elias Hossain addressed at the programme among others.
