Tigers practice ahead of Zim series
Members of the Bangladesh cricket team sweated it out during the practice session at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur ahead of the Zimbabwe series.
On a positive note, fast bowler Taskin Ahmed is rearing to go for the ODI and T20 series against Zimbabwe, and he has declared himself fully fit.
Taskin suffered a tear on his left side during Bangladesh's second ODI against India in June.
He recovered and was sent to India with the Bangladesh A squad but after five overs in the first game on September 16, suffered the same injury and returned home from Bangalore the next day, reported Cricinfo.
Bangladesh team trained at Mirpur without their top allrounder Shakib Al Hasan, who is expected to return from United States of America on Saturday.
Six other cricketers will join the training camp after they return from Bangladesh A side’s tour of South Africa.
Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza was recovered from his bout of dengue fever, and was seen with his teammates at Mirpur Stadium.
While Mashrafe has taken time to recuperate from his illness, Bangladesh's team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan said that both he and Taskin were likely to be fit in time for the Zimbabwe series, with Mashrafe expected to start training from Monday.
Mashrafe is one of the 18 players in the preliminary squad for the home series in November.
