Losing life on the way to exam
A candidate of Primary Education Completion (PEC) examination was killed when an auto-rickshaw hit a rickshaw carrying her in Chattogram city's Bandartila area yesterday.
Sumona Akter, 11, daughter of Babar Uddin and Nasima Akter from the city's Boro Pul area, was a student of Ghashful Primary School in Port Colony, said police.
The 11-year-old was going to an exam centre in Halishahar to sit for the exam, said Alauddin Talukdar, an assistant sub-inspector at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost.
Talking to The Daily Star, the ASI said Sumona fell off the rickshaw after it was hit.
She was declared dead at CMCH, he added.
