Ershad is fine, no need to go to Singapore: Hawlader
Jatiya Party secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader today said their chairman HM Ershad is now fine and he does not need to go to Singapore for treatment right now.
"He is now at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for regular treatment and he is likely to return home in a day or two," he said.
Asked about Ershad’s going to abroad for treatment, Ruhul Amin said the party chief has been receiving treatment in a Singapore hospital for a long time but at this current situation he does not need to go there.
He came up with the remarks at a press briefing at Jatiya Party Chairman's Banani office, a day after Ershad was admitted to the hospital.
He was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday morning as he fell sick.
Yesterday, JP presidium member Foysal Chisty told The Daily Star that Ershad is likely go to Singapore for treatment after the last date of filing nomination paper today.

JP chief HM Ershad will be contesting in the general elections for Dhaka-17 under the greater alliance of ruling Awami League.
His nomination was submitted to Returning Officer of Dhaka KM Ali Azam today.
Dhaka-17 constituency consists of Dhaka North City Corporation Ward No. 15, 18, 19, 20, and Dhaka Cantonment area, according to the demarcation.
