BNP leaders today submitted on behalf the party's Chairperson Khaleda Zia the nomination paper to the returning officer for contesting for Bogura-6 in the 11th general election.

Khaleda's hope to run polls diminishes

District unit BNP president Saiful Islam and the BNP chief's adviser AKM Mahbubur Rahman submitted the nomination paper on behalf of Khaleda at 12:10pm, the correspondent said from the spot.

Foyez Ahmed, the returning officer (RO) also deputy commissioner of the district, received Khaleda's nomination paper from the BNP leaders.

Meanwhile, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and BNP leader AKM Mahbubur Rahman also submitted their nomination papers this afternoon for the same constituency.
