Adele
It's not news any more that Adele's new song “Hello” has brushed off some major records – in terms of online viewership and streaming, and now it has become the most-sold song in a week in digital music sales history – with 1.1 million copies in a week. Interestingly, “Hello” shares its title with a Lionel Richie song from 1984. – which had also reached No. 1 in both the US and the UK. Adele's song shares its opening line (“Hello, it's me”) with an old Todd Rundgren song that was a top five hit in December 1973. However, both the Richie and Rundgren songs were before Adele's birth (in 1988).
