Ctg cops arrest Teknaf’s drug lord Shabbir

Law enforcers claimed arrest of a top drug lord of Teknaf from Chattogram city early today.

Md Shabbir alias ‘Barmaiya’ Shabbir, 30, was arrested in a raid in Bridge Ghat area of the port city, our local staff correspondent reports quoting police.

“Shabbir is the business partner of Hazi Saiful Karim, one of the top drug lords of Cox’s Bazar,” Moinul Islam, an assistant commissioner of Detective Branch, said.

A barrel gun, two cartridges, and five thousand pieces of contraband yaba pills were seized from his possession, police said.
