Fire near Rayerbazar mausoleum doused

A fire that broke out at a house near Martyred Intellectuals' Mausoleum in Dhaka’s Rayerbazar area was extinguished after one hour of its inception.

The fire originated around 6:50 pm at the first floor of a two-storey building and was doused around 7:50 pm, said Kamrul Hasan, a duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.

Four firefighting units worked for an hour to cease the fire, the fire service official added.

There was no report of casualties as of yet.
