2 killed in road crashes in Dhaka
Two people died and three others were injured in two separate road crashes in Dhaka today.
An unidentified man was killed and three others were injured when a truck and a pickup van collided at Malibagh in Dhaka in the wee hours of today.
The goods-laden truck rammed into the chicken-carrying van near Abul Hotel, Abdul Alim Sikder, inspector of Khilgaon fire station, told The Daily Star.
One of the vehicles was using the wrong side of the road which caused the incident, he said. The injured have been taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Meanwhile, a man who was injured last night when a rickshaw was run over by a bus in Mirpur, died at the hospital while undergoing treatment this morning.
The victim was identified as Kalu Mia, a day labourer, Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of the hospital’s police outpost told The Daily Star.
