IPL releases fixtures for first two weeks
IPL (Indian Premier League) released the schedule for the first two weeks of the 2019 season. The dates remain tentative and could be subject to change due to India's general election dates. Once the election is confirmed, BCCI will address the change of dates necessary while also forming the schedule for the remainder of the IPL.
A total of 17 matches will be played during these 2 weeks, across eight home venues of the respective franchises. All teams will play minimum of 4 matches with Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Banglore playing five matches each during that period. Every team will play minimum of two home and two away matches with DC playing 3 home matches, while RCB will play three away matches.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on March 23 with the match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Shakib Al Hasan is the only star from Bangladesh, who will feature in the tournament.
