Passengers of hijacked plane leave Chattogram for Dubai
A total of 134 passengers of the Bangladesh Biman flight, which made emergency landing at Chattogram airport yesterday following an attempted hijacking, left the port city for Dubai this afternoon.
The aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the passengers left the Shah AmanatInternational Airport of Chattogram around 12:15pm, our correspondent reports quoting ABM Sarwar E-Zaman, manager of the airport.
The airport operations are running smoothly today, he said adding that security has been beefed up there following the yesterday’s incident.

A man who allegedly tried to storm the cockpit of a Biman flight was killed in a commando operation at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram yesterday evening.
All the 148 passengers on board were evacuated safely. All the cabin crew members were also safe.
The alleged hijacker, who was said to have been in his mid-20s and armed with a pistol, was neutralised in a swift commando operation of eight minutes.
