DCCCB Meet 5

Who knew scale model collectors were so passionate about what they do? On Friday, 8th March 2019, the members of Dhaka's biggest scale model collectors group, Die Cast Car Collectors of Bangladesh, congregated at The Daily Star Centre for a day long gathering. Powered by Shift and featuring the personal collections of over 15 individuals, as well as a multitude of for-sale items, DCCCB's 5th meet ever was the largest, loudest gathering of the group yet. There were contests too—Saiful Hasan Tariq took home the "best custom diorama" prize with his Ferrari F40 rebuild garage, Joshua Barrokh took "showstopper" with his display, K M Shajib Prithul came in first in the "best custom" category with a military spec Land Rover Defender Hot Wheels, while prizes were handed out for top three photographers and most commented-on post in the DCCCB Facebook group. Visitors were treated to DCCCB merchandise, while the club members themselves feasted on and off during the event.

With the local scale model collector community growing day by day, future meets among collectors looks to be even bigger.
