Man dies after bus hits motorcycle in Dhaka

A man died after a bus hit a motorcycle in Mirpur area of Dhaka this morning.

Police identified the deceased as Nurul Islam Shanto, Officer-in-charge of Mirpur Police Station Dadon Fakir told The Daily Star.

The incident occurred when a Tetulia paribahan bus hit the motorcycle of Shanto in Pashchim Shewrapara area around 10:00am.

Injured Shanto was rushed to National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Nitor), where he was declared dead, the official said.

Police has detained the bus driver Saiful Islam and also seized the vehicle.
