Mominul misses ton as Rupganj, Abahani keep momentum
Bangladesh left-handed batsman Mominul Haque missed out on a ton during his team Legends of Rupganj's five-wicket victory over BKSP in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match at Fatullah today. Star-studded Abahani too picked up their seventh win in the league following their 132-run win over Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity at Savar.
Rishi Dhawan's five-fer restricted BKSP to 181 for nine before Mominul notched a 112-ball 93, laced with eight fours and two sixes. The left-hander missed out on a ton when he fell in the 41st over of the chase but Rupganj clinched the win comfortably with 8.4 overs to spare.
At Savar, Abahani posted 262 all out with Nazmul Hossain's 60, Sabbir Rahman's run-a-ball 49 and Mehedi Hasan Miraz's 47 off 54. Robiul Haque picked up a fifer for Khelaghar.
Following the exchange, Abahani spinners dominated with Sunzamul Islam picking up four wickets while Nazmul Islam and Mehedi picked up two each to bowl Khelaghar out for 130.
