9 DIGs transferred

In a major reshuffle, nine Deputy Inspector General (DIG) ranked police officials, who were serving in different important positions, were transferred and given new postings today.

The public security division of the home ministry issued a circular in this regard.

As per the circular, DIG of Khulna range Didar Ahmed was posted as the DIG of Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU), DIG of Rajshahi Range M Khurshid Hossain as the DIG of the Police Headquarters (PHQ), DIG of PHQ Humayun Kabir was posted as the commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), DIG of Industrial Police Shahabuddin Khan was posted as the commissioner of Barisal Metropolitan Police, Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Y M Belalur Rahman was posted as the DIG of PHQ, DIG of ATU Khandaker Luthful Kabir was posted as the commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police, DIG of PHQ Anwar Hossain was posted as GMP commissioner, RMP Commissioner AKM Hafiz Akhter was posted as the DIG of Rajshahi Range and DIG of PHQ Kh Mahid Uddin as the DIG of Khulna Range.
