Nusrat murder: Suspect Nuruddin held
Two suspects including Nuruddin were arrested in connection with the murder of Alim examinee Nusrat Jahan Rafi from Mymensingh and Dhaka.
Nuruddin, one of two close aides to main suspect Siraj Ud Doula, was arrested from Seedstore area in Bhaluka upazila today, reports our local correspondent.

According to the investigators and locals, Nuruddin was among the four who set Nusrat Jahan Rafi on fire at Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa on April 6.
A team of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) arrested Nuruddin around 11:00am, said PBI sources. He will be sent to Feni later in the day, the sources said.
Nuruddin and Shahadat alias Shamim, two aides to the madrasa principal Siraj, went on the run following public outrage over the incident. They were made accused in the case filed by Nusrat’s brother.
Madrasa teachers and locals alleged that the two had threatened Nusrat's relatives and other people who demanded justice for her sexual harassment.
AWAMI LEAGUE MAN HELD IN DHAKA
In another development, a local leader of ruling Awami League (AL) in Feni was arrested last night from Fakirapool area in Dhaka in connection with the case.
Moksud Alam is a councillor of Sonagazi municipality and also acting general secretary of the AL’s local unit, reports our senior staff reporter from Feni.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police and PBI in a drive jointly arrested Moksud around 11:30pm, said Mohammad Maniruzzaman, additional superintendent of Feni police.
Moksud, a member of the governing body of Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa, was taken to Feni this morning, he said.
He was leading some demonstrations urging release for Siraj Ud Doula, who is the key suspect in the case.
A total of 11 people including the madrasa principal Siraj have so far been arrested in connection with the arson attack and murder.
WHAT HAPPENED TO NUSRAT?
Nusrat, a student of Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa, was set ablaze on April 6 allegedly for refusing to withdraw a case filed against the principal for sexually harassing her late last month.
Only a few minutes before the Alim exams on April 6, four unidentified people allegedly took Nusrat to the roof of the three-storey administrative building of the madrasa saying one of her friends was being assaulted there, victim's brother Mahmudul Hasan Noman had told this newspaper earlier.
She lost her battle for life on April 10, five days after she was set afire -- an incident that sparked outrage all over the country.
