President, PM condemn Sri Lanka attack
President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today condemned the horrific terror attack in Sri Lanka and expressed their condolences to those who lost their lives in the series bomb attacks.
Easter Day bomb blasts at three Sri Lankan churches and three luxury hotels killed 138 people and wounded more than 400, hospital and police officials said, following a lull in major attacks since the end of the civil war 10 years ago.
President Abdul Hamid also expressed deep shock at the terror attack in Sri Lanka.
The president also expressed condolences to the people of Sri Lanka and its government, according to a press note sent to media.
PM Sheikh Hasina wished quick recovery of those who were injured in the attacks, according to a message sent to media by the press wing of the Prime Minister’s Office.
She also sent condolences to the grieving family members.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has also extended condolences to the bereaved families of the victims and condemned the series blasts.
