Describing your university life using anime genres
Adventure: Fresher days are always adventurous no matter which university you're in. The intriguing thought of entering into a new academic world full of new and wonderful possibilities will always keep you on the edge. You are going to feel like a Pokémon where your professors are going to train you so that you can either evolve into a successful graduate or fail miserably, like Ash has been doing since the beginning of time. And just like JoJo, your bizarre adventure is about to unfold.
Harem: This genre is usually unlocked when you become the president of one of your university clubs or are popular among the masses in any other way.
Reverse Harem: This genre comes bundled with you the moment you enter the university as a fresher and you will be playing the role of the protagonist as long as you are single. Chances of attracting attention are also high even when you are not single. It also depends on your mood swings.
Drama: If you have friends or you are active in one of the university clubs, finding your daily dose of drama shouldn't be that much of a problem.
Fantasy: This is the stage where you are either thinking of studying harder in the coming semester or are planning to land a job at Google after you are done with your computer science degree. Perhaps both?
Psychological: The moment you start preaching statements like, "CGPA is not everything" and "there is more to life than just good grades" is when you need to realise that you have started to think irrationally and have thus, entered into the psychological genre. That's how every anime fan interprets a psychological anime. As soon as we see this genre tagged in the anime's description, we begin to look for a deeper meaning, start to take things out of context, and begin to believe in things that are never there in the first place.
Rom-com: The comedy part is pretty much the entirety of your university life where you are the laughing stock. The romantic part is those few minutes of attention you end up getting from your crush just because they need to copy your lab assignment.
Tragedy: Plot twist, your entire university life is also a tragedy. Besides, failed courses, bad grades, heartbreaks, and early morning classes are always there to add more misery to your bucket of tragic occurrences. You should title your university life, "A series of unfortunate events and retakes" or to be more relevant, "Boku no Graduation".
Now that you have the genres figured out, why not get started on the anime adaptation of your university life?
