Quader returns to work Sunday
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will join his ministry office tomorrow following his return from Singapore where he was under treatment for two months and 11 days.
The minister will attend a discussion on the ongoing development projects of the ministry and a view exchange meeting with media at the Secretariat in the morning, said Abu Naser, deputy chief information officer of the ministry.
Quader, also the AL general secretary, returned home from Singapore by a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight on May 15 afternoon.
He underwent a bypass surgery in Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital on March 20 and had been staying there to recover from his ailment.
On March 3, Quader was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital after suffering breathing complications.
Tests revealed three blockages in his coronary artery and later he was flown to Singapore for better treatment under the supervision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
