US-Bangla adds brand new ATR aircraft to operate domestic routes
The US-Bangla Airlines, one of the leading private carriers of the country, has included two brand new and next generation ATR 72-600 aircrafts to operate flights in domestic route.
This is for the first time in the country’s aviation history that any private airliner is using next generation ATR 72-600 aircraft to operate domestic flight, says a release.
Equipped with modern technology, this ATR series aircraft is also being used by Air India, Indigo, Malaysian Airlines, Malindo and Lion Air.
One of the two newly included ATR 72-600 aircrafts came in March while the other in May this year.
Meanwhile, US-Bangla Airlines will operate 63 additional flights before Eid-ul-Fitr to meet demand of home-bound passengers.
The carrier will operate 29 additional flights to Jashore, 21 to Saidpur, seven to Rajshahi, three to Barishal and three to Chattogram from May 30 to June 5.
Apart from the additional flights, the airlines will continue its regular flights -- four to Chattogram, three to Sylhet, two to Cox’s Bazar, two to Jashore, two to Saidpur, one to Rajshahi and weekly three to Barishal.
Currently, the US-Bangla Airlines is operating flights to several international routes including Kolkata, Chennai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Guangzhou, Bangkok, Masqat and Doha with four Boeing 737-800, three Dash-8 Q 400 and two ATR 72-600 aircraft.
Another two ATR 72-600 aircrafts will be added in its fleet by June, said the release.
