Eid journey comfortable: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said that there is relief for home-goers as there is no traffic jam on the roads and highways ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The government has made all-out efforts to make the journey of Eid holidaymakers comfortable on highways, Quader, also general secretary of ruling Awami League, said while briefing media at the ministry this noon.

The minister said although he has not completely recovered from ailment, he returned to work in order to ensure that the people would have a smooth journey to their home and on their return.

He stressed that the ministry had put in the effort to ensure a hassle-free journey for the home-goers.

Mentioning that a few bus companies are selling tickets at a higher price than usual, the minister said those have been imposed fine in this connection.
