Gas supply to stay shut in Airport Road area for 8hrs

Gas supply in and around Airport Road area of the capital will remain suspended for eight hours today.

The disruption started from 9:00am and will go on till 5:00pm, as the authorities concerned will shift pipelines to facilitate the construction work of an under-pass near Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment School and College, said a press release of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd.

All the establishments attached with the 12-inch gas pipe line between Zia Colony Gate and the airport including many CNG filling stations, Hotel Radisson, Hotel Regency, Bangladesh Biman Catering, Kurmitola General Hospital, Army Golf Club, Civil Aviation Quarter will have no gas supply.

Residential, commercial, and industrial establishments in Kaola area will also have no gas till afternoon, said the press release.

In the meantime, pressure of gas supply will remain low in Khilkhet and Nikunja areas.
