Ex-army, elderly mother murdered in Sirajganj

Unknown assailants killed a retired army official and his elderly mother in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj last night.

The deceased are Altaf Hosen Mukul, 65, and Rizia Khatun, 95, our Pabna correspondent reports.

Informed by neighbours, police recovered the bodies with multiple stab wounds from their home at Maheshpur village this morning, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Ullapara Police Station Dewan Koushik Ahmed told the correspondent.

Miscreants presumably entered the house anytime last night and killed the two over previous enmity, the police official said.

Investigation is going on regarding the incident, the OC added.
