Recovery operation suspends Dhaka-Sylhet-Chattogram train route

Train service between Dhaka-Sylhet-Chattogram route has been suspended as authorities are conducting a recovery activity of derailed carriages of an intercity train which crashed on Sunday.
Trains going to different destinations are halted since 5:00am at in nearby stations for indefinite time due to the suspension, our Mouldvibazar correspondent reports quoting Station Master Md Akhteruddin.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Upaban Express, a Dhaka-bound intercity train from Sylhet, derailed on a bridge in Kulaura on June 23. One of the carriages of the train fell into a canal while two others fell close to the canal’s banks.
Five passengers were killed and hundreds injured in the accident.
