Any attempt to remove Bangabandhu from history will be foiled: Anisul
Law Minister Anisul Huq today said attempts were made for long 28 years in order to remove Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from the history of Bangladesh but nobody could remove him from the history.
Bangabandhu and Bangladesh were in a body and will remain together, he said, adding that any attempt to remove Bangabandhu from the history of Bangladesh will be foiled.
The law minister said this while presiding over a meeting at the conference room of the law ministry at the secretariat to take preparation to celebrate the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman next year.
Anisul Huq told the meeting that different programmes will be organised highlighting the characteristics of Bangabandhu including his ideology, humanities, patriotism, and profound belief on rule of law and justice.
A supervisory committee and some sub committees headed by the law minister were formed at the meeting in order to celebrate the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman next year, a law ministry source said.
Legislative and Parliamentary Secretary Mohammad Shahidul Haque and other officials of the ministry attended the meeting.
