Bangladesh team arrived at the Shahjalal International Airport today at around 2 pm after being whitewashed in a three-match ODI series.

The team was initially supposed to arrive earlier at 11:30am ( Bangladesh Time) however, due to a delay in flight, the Tigers left Colombo at 9:45 am (Sri Lanka Time)

Tigers could not even win a single match against a Sri Lankan side who themselves are going through a rough patch. Not only did the men in green and red lose to the Lankans, they were humiliated in all the three matches as the visitors lost by 91 runs in the first ODI followed by another loss in the second ODI by seven wickets and a 122-run defeat in the third.

The Bangladesh squad for the series did not consist of a few crucial players such as Shakib Al Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza. However, that gave no reason for the team to perform so poorly in all three departments. Tamim Iqbal, who captained the side in the series due to Mashrafe missing out by a hamstring injury, was confident with his side before the matches began. All-rounder Mosaddek Hossain, even went an extra mile to call themselves favorites before the series had even started.

With the nightmare of a series gone, Tigers must regroup and get themselves together with the ICC T20 World Cup ahead next year.
