10 new dengue patients identified in Bagerhat
Health department has identified new 10 more dengue patients in Bagerhat.
So far, 63 dengue patients have been found as per the Health Department in Bagerhat till today, reports our local correspondent.
Bagerhat Civil Surgeon Dr GKM Shamsuzzaman said, ‘‘10 more dengue patients have been identified in Bagerhat in the last 24 hours. Until last Sunday, the number of dengue patients was 53 in the district. It rose to 63 on Monday (August 12th).”
At present, eight dengue patients are being treated at Bagerhat Sadar Hospital and different upazila health complexes in the district, he said.
The civil surgeon also said that the dengue patients are being diagnosed at the Bagerhat Sadar Hospital and all upazila health complexes in the district for free.
Public awareness was being created by doctors about dengue fever among people, he also said.
The patients have been advised to stay inside mosquito-nets so that the disease cannot spread through the victims, the health official added.
