A policeman was killed as a bus hit his motorcycle in Bandarban town last night.

Deceased Imran Khan Jony, 24, hailing from Feni’s Chhagalnaiya upazila, was a constable of Bandarban Police Lines, our Bandarban correspondent reports.

Jony sustained injuries critically after the bus rammed his vehicle from behind in the town around 11:00pm, according to the police control room. 

He was rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries early today, said Dinesh Chandra, a sub-inspector of Bandarban Sadar Police Station.

Police arrested bus driver Saiful Islam and seized the vehicle, SI Dinesh Chandra added.
