13 Islami Chhatri Sangstha activists held in Pabna

Police claimed to have detained 13 members of the Jamaat-e-Islami's female student front Islami Chhatri Sangstha in Sadar upazila of Pabna tonight.

They were detained from a house of a two-storey building in Mansurabadh residential area this evening, said Nasim Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Pabna Sadar Police Station.

Police raided the house upon information that they were holding secret meeting there, our Pabna correspondent reports quoting the OC.

Besides, an activist of Chhatra Shibir, the student body of Jamaat-e-Islami, was arrested from the house, he said.

The law enforcers also recovered a huge number of jihadi books and new members and fund collection forms from their possessions, OC Nasim added
