Comilla Victorians beat Chittagong Vikings by five wickets in the 20th match of the third edition of Bangladesh Premier League at Chittagong today.

After winning the toss, Comilla skipper Mashrafe Mortaza sent the Vikings to bat first and restricted them to just 136.

Umar Akmal’s unbeaten 49 and opener Tillakaratne Dilshan’s 39 helped them to post the moderate total in face of a disciplined bowling attack from Comilla.

Abu Hider, Shuvagata Hom and Ashar Zaidi bagged a wicket each for the Victorians.

In their chase, Comilla rode on Imrul Kayes’ 35, Ahmed Shehzad’s 37 and Shoaib Malik’s 34 to reach home with two balls to spare.

Shoaib Malik was named man of the match for his patient knock to take Comilla home.

With this victory, Comilla climbs to the top of the points table.
