Shortage of doctors hamper medical facilities at Manikganj hospital

The story is about a hospital in Manikganj which is facing numerous problems including shortage of manpower.

Manikganj District Hospital was established in 1984 with the capacity of 50 beds. Later in 1997, 50 more beds were included in the hospital.

To fulfil the patients demands, the hospital authority added more 150 beds in 2016 but the manpower of the hospitals remains unchanged.

On the other hand, the hospital has only 28 doctors against 42 posts which created grapple for the doctors to meet the escalating pressure of the patients.
