Biman’s direct flight from Chattogram to Madina begins
Biman Bangladesh Airline’s direct flight from Chattogram to Madina was inaugurated today at Shah Amanat International Airport.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Mahbub Ali inaugurated the new route of the national airliner.
One flight on every Thursday will fly from Chattogram Airport, Biman sources said.
Addressing the programme, the minister said, “Government is working relentlessly to increase the Biman’s fleet by procuring more than one hundred aircraft.”
He warned against any sorts of irregularity and corruptions in the civil aviation department saying that none will be spared if found involved in irregularities and corruptions.
Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority Air Vice Marshal Mohammad Mofidur Rahman was present as the special guest at the inauguration ceremony.
Managing Director of Bangladesh Biman Mohammad Mokkabir Hossain informed there are 16 aircraft in Biman’s fleet including 6 on a lease basis.
