Pakistani among 6 held with fake currency notes

- One crore fake Indian rupees, Tk 6.24 lakh seized

- 21 passports and large number of fake seals recovered

-  Fake seals used for human trafficking

Rapid Action Battalion last night detained six people including a Pakistani citizen of international currency smuggling and human trafficking ring from different parts of the capital.

One crore fake Indian rupees, Tk 6.24 lakh, huge amount of US dollar, Pakistani rupee, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, 21 passports and large number of fake seals have been recovered from their possession, a text message from Rab floated for the media said this morning.

The fake seals were used for human trafficking, the message added.

A press briefing in this regard is scheduled to be held later in the day at Rab Headquarters.
