Tribute to Khoka: DSCC declares holiday Thursday

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) today declared November 7 as holiday, paying tribute to former mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation Sadeque Hossain Khoka.

All activities of the city corporation and its regional offices will remain closed on the day.

Khoka, a former mayor and BNP vice-chairman, died at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York on Monday. He was 67.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held at the city corporation premises around 3pm on Thursday.
