Cyclone Bulbul: Govt staff in 13 coastal districts asked not to leave stations
As the cyclonic storm “Bulbul” is likely to hit Bangladesh tomorrow evening, the government has already taken all-out preparations to combat the rushing cyclonic storm.
As part of the cyclone preparedness programme, the government today cancelled all kinds of leave including government holiday of all staff and officials in 13 coastal districts in the country to deal with the cyclone.
Disaster Management and Relief Ministry today took the decision in a meeting of the Cyclone Preparedness Programme (CPP) Implementation Board to take all necessary measures to face the cyclone.
The 13 districts are: Satkhira, Bagerhat, Patuakhali, Bhola, Barguna, Pirozpur, Noakhali, Feni, Laxmipur, Khulna, Chandpur, Cox’s Bazar and Chattograme.
To make the efforts a success, the staff and officials in districts have been asked to not to leave their respective offices, said an order issued by the ministry of public administration today.
