‘Made in Bangladesh’ wins award at Torino Film Festival
Rubaiyat Hossain’s feature film Made in Bangladesh, won the Interfedi Award at Torino Film Festival, Italy. The film was awarded for effectively representing the conditions of women working in the textile industry in an economically marginalised area.
Rubaiyat congratulated the whole team of Made in Bangladesh through a post on social media. The film features Shahana Goswami, Shatabdi Wadud, Rikita Nandini Shimu, Momena Chowdhury and Parvin Paru, among others. The award honours movies that give voice to minority groups.
