Govt to start publishing names of Pakistani collaborators from Dec 16
The government will start publishing names of collaborators of Pakistani occupation force who were paid salaries on a monthly basis from Victory Day on December 16.
The liberation war affairs ministry informed this to a parliamentary standing committee.
“The respective deputy commissioners have started sending lists to the ministry. The ministry has informed us that they will start releasing the list from December 16,” Shajahan Khan, chief of the parliamentary standing committee on liberation war affairs, told reporters emerging from the meeting.
The meeting was held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
Shajahan Khan also said the respective ministry will also start publishing a fresh list of freedom fighters from the victory day.
The ministry started work from August to prepare a list of rajakars who were paid monthly salary and assisted the Pakistani Army in carrying our atrocities on freedom fighters.
According to the meeting source, there were no monthly paid rajakars in Khagrachori, Magura, Sherpur, Gaibandha and Jashore.
The ministry got the list of nine rajakars in Chandpur, 169 in Meherpur, 44 in Shariatpur, 50 in Norail and 1 in Bagerhat, according to the meeting source.
