Dahlia Ahmed performs at IGCC
Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) organised an evening of recitation by Dahlia Ahmed at its auditorium in Gulshan on December 5.
A leading elocutionist of Bangladesh, Dahlia Ahmed was born in Mymensingh to a Freedom Fighter family. A brilliant student, she grew up in the strict disciplinary ambience of Bharateswari Homes.
She has participated in several national programmes.
She has also given background voice to many stage shows, dance dramas, documentaries and live commentaries. The artiste has recited poetry and dance dramas all over Bangladesh and abroad in cities such as New York, London and Paris. She was also the emcee during Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi's public address in Dhaka's BICC June 7. She is a recipient of the Bangladesh Mahila Parishad Award for recitation in 2010.
