Assistant Professor Linkon Chowdhury of East Delta University (EDU) Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Nishargo Nigar, a student of the same department, came up with the idea of fabricating an extraordinary mobile application that will provide support to parents. This unique research work talked over in their article titled "A Smart Healthcare System for Children using IoT & Ensemble Technique", was recently published in the book Algorithms for Intelligent Systems (AIS) by one of the most acclaimed global publishers, Springer.

The authors discussed constructing a mobile application in which by employing IoT technology, it will be possible to monitor and enumerate the bodily and psychological evolution of below five-year-old infants. Attaining the outcomes, users have to input what nutrition fed and to what extent regularly, in the mobile apps dashboard.

Chowdhury, one of the authors, told the users would need to input the baby's age, weight, and other information along with uploading individual images and videos of the child to the application daily. Constructed on those statistics, whatever the necessity to ensure the app will suggest the opposite development of the baby. A child's behaviour may be different due to nutritive insufficiencies or genetic complications.

This app will furthermore identify the nutritional level as well as whether the child's behaviour is healthy or not through monitoring. Parents can often feel lost with these issues. So by examining a child's behavioural traits, it is possible to regulate if the child faces the peril of physical or psychological infirmity by the app. If regrettably, that is the instance, the app can also provide apposite assistance to the parents concerning when it is the correct time to take the infant to a specialist or a nutritionist.

EDU is emphasising on research works. The founder Vice Chairman of the university Sayeed Al Noman said that this accomplishment would be exemplary and motivating to the other students and the faculties.
