Channels That Talk Business
It is often interesting to learn how companies started, why certain products cost a certain amount, and what factors affect how a company does business. However, reading about businesses can seem tedious. Fortunately, there are YouTube channels covering these topics.
BUSINESS INSIDER
You will get a lot of information on this channel – market trends, costs and profits, number of stores, sales information, news of what has been happening to firms, history of famous products and companies, innovations made to products along the way, promotion strategies used, what made a company unique – all without it ever feeling overwhelming. There are also interesting series such as why certain products like Birkin bags and avocados are so expensive, how companies we all know succeeded and then failed, along with many others. Lastly, this channel has about 4700 videos, so you can spend time watching videos here without worrying about when they will upload next.
COLDFUSION
Much like Business Insider, this channel too covers businesses. However, the focus is often on tech companies like Google, Apple, Tesla, Samsung, Huawei, Microsoft, Softbank, etc. Like other channels tackling the same topics, this channel also discusses the trajectory of firms, the lives of entrepreneurs and businesspersons, the decisions made by those in charge, and also other information. Along with these, there are also videos on companies of the past like Enron and Dutch East India Company, and a “How Big” series which explores not only how large some companies are, but also goes into the many activities a company is involved in, the different products they offer, etc. You’ll learn how a company like Samsung built skyscrapers and how Reliance is responsible for T-Series.
POLYMATTER
This channel is both similar and dissimilar to the aforementioned two channels in that it contains videos on companies and products while also veering toward other social and economic factors influencing a market. With engaging and colourful graphics and a clear and concise way of explaining complex topics, you’ll find yourself looking at everyday things you don’t think much about in a different perspective when you go to this channel. From “Zimbabwe’s Currency Crisis: the worthless $100 trillion bill” to “Why Amazon is Worth $1 Trillion”, there are a vast range of issues discussed on this channel.
