Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee today urged the government to form a judicial enquiry commission to find out the people, who included the names of freedom fighters in the Razakars’ list.

The pro-liberation platform also demanded the government to take legal action against the people involved in publishing the flawed list.

Shahriar Kabir, president of the committee, came up with the demand while addressing a press conference held at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity this noon.

He also criticised the government for publishing the list without consulting with the civil society members and said the government will have to file a case against the people involved in publishing the faulty Razakars’ list.

“We will not accept any report without the judicial enquiry commission,” he told a questioner, adding that the resignation of the Liberation War Affairs Minister is not a solution.

The faulty list of Razakars, which was published on Sunday, has drawn a huge criticism and sparked protest at different parts of the country as the names of language movement veterans and freedom fighters were included on the list.

Amid criticism, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque yesterday withheld the faulty list and said the revised list will be published on March 26 next year.
