Biman to resume Dhaka-Manchester flight Jan 5
Biman Bangladesh Airlines will resume its flight on Dhaka-Manchester route from January 5.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Mahbub Ali will inaugurate the flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Biman said in a press release today.
It will be the second destination of the national flag carrier in Europe after London.
Biman’s brand-new Boeing Dreamliner 787-9 aircrafts will be used to operate the Dhaka-Manchester flight 3 days a week on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, the release read.
Around 90,000 Bangladeshis live in Manchester in the UK. With the Manchester flight, Biman will spread its wings to a total of 17 international destinations.
Earlier in 2012, Biman suspended flights on Dhaka-Manchester route due to shortage of aircrafts.
The total number of seats in each Boeing 787-9 aircraft will be 298, with 20 seats in business classes, 21 in premium economy classes and 247 seats in economy class.
Using the mobile apps of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, passengers can buy tickets for all destinations using their own mobile phones from anywhere in the world. They will be able to make payment through bKash, Rocket or any other card. They will also get all flight-related information through the apps.
