Crude bomb blast at DU again
Three crude bombs exploded near Kalabhaban (Arts buildings) at Dhaka University (DU) this morning.
A man wearing a red jacket exploded two crude bombs in between Ducsu building and Kalabhaban on the campus around 10:45am, our DU correspondent reports quoting witnesses.
Some people tried to catch the man but he managed to flee after blasting the bombs, they said.
Another bomb blasted when activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, the student wing of BNP, staged demonstration in front of the Aparajeyo Bangla around 11:30am.
According to the JCD activists, none of them were involved with the bomb blast.
Denying their involvement in the incident, Convener of JCD DU unit Rakibul Hasan Rakib said it was done to foil their demo on the campus.
Earlier on December 30, two more crude bombs went off near the Dhaka University’s Madhur Canteen a day after four exploded at the same place.
Four crude bombs also went off in the morning and evening at the same place on December 29 while an unexploded one was found there on December 26.
