IBA-DU offers weekend short courses on Corporate Governance, Brand Management
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka, as part of its commitment to increasing management efficiency, is offering 2-day professional certificate courses on Corporate Governance (CG) and Brand Management (BM) to junior and mid-level managers in the corporate sector.
The continuing corporate and accounting scandals have increased the importance of governance and accountability in the organisations. In addition, in order to attract foreign investment, effective corporate governance and transparency is a must, according to a release.
The topics covered in the Corporate Governance will be, but not limited to, models of corporate governance and reporting to ensure accountability and transparency, the role of board of directors, the role of different committees, CSR, sustainability and many more, the release read.
Associate Professor Dr Melita Mehjabeen will be moderating the course.
Also, the two-day journey on Brand Management will introduce a range of concepts relating to the application and value of branding.
This course will cover brand equity and valuation, which will offer an insight into the journey of a brand in the path of becoming a primary business asset in many sectors.
Associate Professor Khaled Mahmud will be moderating the Brand Management course.
Prospective candidates must have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and minimum two years of work experience with reputed organisation/s (work experience can be relaxed for exceptional candidates).
Application forms are available at IBA website. The last date of application is January 18, 2020.
Certificates will be provided to the participants after successful completion of the 2-day courses.
