None of the 900 China-returnees screened at Dhaka and Chattogram airports are infected by coronavirus, Directorate General of Health Services has claimed.

The Director General of DGHS, Abul Kalam Azad, today confirmed the matter while briefing journalists at his office.

"Our medical teams have screened a total 900 people who landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and the Shah Amanat International Airport from China," the DG said.

"No suspicious sign was found," he added.

The two airport authorities began a screening process on Tuesday, amid fear of the breakout of a new SARS-like virus, which has already claimed 17 lives in China.
