Director Ridley Scott is talking about his next ‘Alien’ movie again and this time he is promising that the iconic creations of the first film will be making an appearance, reports Yahoo News.

At first informally referred to as ‘Prometheus 2,’ Scott since dubbed it ‘Alien: Paradise Lost,’ before again rechristening it ‘Alien: Covenant.’

It seems Scott himself is indecisive on the matter and thus we are referring to the movie as ‘the next Alien movie.’

Speaking to The Wrap, Scott drops further hints at how, following on from the conclusion of ‘Prometheus,’ this film will see the cast “go to the planet where the engineers came from, and come across the evolving creature that they had made.

“Why did they make it? Why would they make such a terrifying beast? It felt bio-mechanoid, it felt like a weapon. And so the movie will explain that, and reintroduce the alien back into it, reports Yahoo News.

“There was always this discussion: Is Alien, the character, the beast, played out or not? We’ll have them all: egg, face-hugger, chest-burster, then the big boy. I think maybe we can go another round or two.”

‘Prometheus’ stars Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are anticipated to return, along with a new ensemble - Rebecca Ferguson is reportedly in talks to appear, reports Yahoo News.

According to Yahoo News, Scott knew from the beginning that the terrifying creature that the late HR Giger (below) had designed would endure:

“I knew we had done something special. I mean, I knew it as soon as I met with H.R. Giger. He was an artist in every sense of the word, but very businesslike. There was no rock ‘n’ roll — well, there was quietly, but he never brought it to the set.

“And I knew I had something special with this creature that he designed. Without that creature, the film wouldn’t have been the same.”

The original 1979 ‘Alien’ was Ridley Scott’s second feature film, and established him as a major player in Hollywood - although his career did have a few ups and downs along the way, including the box office flop ‘Legend,’ which hit cinemas this time 30 years ago.

‘Alien: Covenant’ (let’s just assume that’s what they’re going with) is due to start photography next year, and is scheduled to reach cinemas in October 2017.
