Barrister Suman resigns from International Crimes Tribunal
Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman has resigned from the post of prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal.
Barrister Suman submitted his resignation letter to the chief prosecutor of the tribunal in the morning.
"Due to engagement in social or voluntary activities, I could not give enough time to a significant institution of the state like International Crimes Tribunal," Barrister Suman said in the letter.
"And I think it's not right for me to receive a salary from the government. Hence, I resign," Barrister Suman added.
He joined the crimes tribunal on November 13, 2012.
