Ctg cop hurt in misfire while cleaning firearm

A police constable was injured today in a misfire while cleaning his firearm at Rangunia upazila of Chattogram.

The injured constable was identified as Kamrul Hasan, who was posted at Podua police outpost under Rangunia Police Station, reported our Chattogram correspondent quoting police.

Mohammed Saiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Rangunia Police Station, told The Daily Star that the constable was injured when trying to clean his firearm around 10:50am.

"He was sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for treatment and is out of danger now," the OC said.
