BCB XI-Zim ends in draw after Tamim, Al Amin twin tons

BCB XI captain Al Amin jr. followed up Tanzid Hasan Tamim's ton with a ton of his own. Al Amin reaches his century in 145 delivery, his innings comprising of 16 fours. U-19s' young opener Tanzid Tamim raced to an unbeaten 100-ball 125, laced with 14 fours five sixes as BCB XI reached 288 for five in 59.3 overs at stumps as the two-day warm-up match ended in a draw. The duo starred in an unbroken 229-run stand for the sixth wicket after BCB XI were tottering at 69 for five in the morning session on day two.  Zimbabwe had earlier declared their innings on an overnight score of 291 for seven.

Tanzid Hasan Tamim struck a ton in the second day of the two-day warm-up match between BCB XI and Zimbabwe at BKSP today to rescue the young guns after they had collapsed to 69 for five in the first session today. Al Amin jr. is unbeaten on 91 as BCB XI reached 266 for five in 56 overs. Tamim is unbeaten on 91-ball 108.

Tea: BCB XI reach 227 for five in 52 overs as Tea is called on day two of the warm-up match against Zimbabwe. Tanzid Hasan Tamim is unbeaten on 89 while Al Amin jr. is on 75 as the pair added 158-run in the unbroken sixth wicket stand.  

BCB XI captain Al Amin jr. and U-19s' opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim employed the counter-attack to star in a fifty partnership for BCB XI. Tamim is unbeaten on a  50-ball 62, laced with four fours and five sixes with Al Amin not out on an 84-ball 50. The hosts lost five wickets in the first session before the pair began to resist the Zimbabwe bowlers during a fine 105-run unbroken stand for the sixth wicket. BCB XI are 174 for five in 41 overs.

Lunch: BCB XI struggled with the bat losing five wickets in the first session after Zimbabwe declared early on in the second day on an overnight score of 291 for 7. BCB XI reached 84 for 5 in 26 overs before lunch was called on day two of two-day practice game at BKSP against touring Zimbabwe.

BCB XI lost wickets in regular intervals with Carl Mumba making early inroads after removing Mohammad Naim for eleven. Bangladesh's only centurion in the recently-concluded U-19 World Cup in Mahmudul Hasan Joy was next to go, falling to Charlton Tshuma.

Shahdat Hossain departed soon to Ainsley Ndlovu before the left-armer further derailed BCB XI with the wicket of Parvez Hossain Emon, who had offered some resistance during 66-ball 34.

U-19s' World Cup winning captain Akbar Ali managed only one as BCB XI lost their fifth. Captain Al Amin jr. and Tanzid Hasan Tamim took BCB XI to lunch without further loss of wickets.
